Louisville, KY –ControlTouch, a controls engineering and design firm specializing in controls systems integration and industrial automation in Louisville, KY, has named a new President and Chief Operating Officer.

Michael O’Connor, most recently from Siemens World Headquarters, comes with more than 20 years of experience in business plan development and execution, operations and project management, international business, sales, engineering and leadership. He has a proven record of accomplishment at companies such as FKI Logistics and Five Star Airport Alliance.

As the Head of Global Sales at Siemens Logistics Airports in Germany, O’Connor increased sales, decreased acquisition costs and improved project execution. Before his time at Siemens, he was the CEO of Five Star Airport Alliance in 2012, responsible for the strategic direction that led to a successful turnaround, restructuring and rebranding. Prior to that, as the Vice President and General Manager of The Horsley Company, a Division of Five Start Airport Alliance, he spearheaded a restructure, creating growth in revenue and profit margin. O’Connor held two positions at FKI Logistics, first as a Sales Manager, where he closed the largest sale in company history, then promoted to National Sales Director in 2005, he helped develop the Airport System Maintenance Group. He is a founding member and co-developer of bylaws of The International Association of Baggage Systems Companies (IABSC), a premier trade organization for the airport and airline industry.

O’Connor is a Michigan native and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University and graduate studies in the MBA program from the University of Michigan.
