Sortation Allocation Controller

Sortation Allocation Controllers (SACs) coordinate communication between multiple management systems in airline operations, allowing packages, luggage, and materials to be routed quickly and efficiently. SACs can also maintain a detailed log of movement and routing data to facilitate tracking, and use prefetching and caching to operate at high speeds without sacrificing accuracy. Our industry leading SAC was designed and developed to operate across multiple networks, and is easily maintained, administrated, and can be upgraded as needed. Also included is a built-in redundancy (hot back up) so it does not require any expensive “fault tolerant” solutions. We have successfully installed and certified dozens of SAC systems in airports and distribution centers across North America.

DATA HISTORIAN SYSTEM

The Data Historian System (DHS) maintains logs of how your equipment operates over time, providing long-term analysis that can identify issues, predict maintenance requirements and find opportunities for expansion and optimization. Using a direct connection to the PLC, the DHS system monitors alarms, equipment states, and system statistics to provide a detailed picture of overall operation. Similar to our SAC benefits, our DHS has built-in redundancy and is easy to maintain.

MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

Management Information Systems (MISs), also known as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, allow system information to be monitored and analyzed at any time, from any location. Using an intuitive graphical interface, the MIS can report and log alarms, allow remote system start and stop capabilities, permit parameter adjustment, and communicate with the DHS to provide reports and trends.

HUMAN-MACHINE INTERFACE

Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) is a graphical interface that provides all system data and control capabilities accurately and intuitively. By translating system operation into visual data, operators, managers, and maintenance personnel can maintain a better understanding of every aspect of the system, and keep it running at maximum efficiency at all times. Every HMI is customized for each installation, and designed to provide information in the most useful and logical way.

SYSTEM SIMULATION & EMULATION

ControlTouch can provide every client with a detailed understanding of how their system will operate under every conceivable condition prior to construction or implementation. Using sophisticated 3D modeling software, ControlTouch creates simulation and emulation models that allow our clients to visualize their material handling system in 3D and fully test our control system software in real time. From peak operation to fault handling, our system simulations allow virtual testing and optimization that saves time, labor, and materials.

RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION

We are experts in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems, which use radio technology to communicate with embedded, encrypted chips in smart labels attached to everything from packages to passenger luggage. Through this system, individual items are tracked, located, and cataloged with extreme precision, no matter the size of the operation. Unlike barcoding, our RFID system maintains 99% accuracy independent of item orientation, position, or speed.
